With my clients, this is mandatory, but even if you're not technically detoxing, this rule should still apply. Why? You're breaking a fast (Break-Fast) and always (yes always) break a fast with fruits. They have electricity to kick start your body with energy via the adrenals, you'll feel sharper and more focused, astringent properties to help cleanse the bowels and cells (fructose is the fuel for your cells) and filter the kidneys after a night of rest, repair and detox. The last thing you want to do is stuff in food that is not only inflammatory but mucus forming and acidic (i.e. Meat, grains, eggs) Your body can't flush the waste that way. Those foods lock and trap in this sewage, backing up your lymphatic system. This leads to countless issues. So I challenge you to try it. See how you feel! It's amazing! Some of you may experience detox symptoms but this is a good thing! This just means you need this cleansing badly. Just remember to eat your melons separate from everything.
